maybe we're mixing boards up? fidotel was in virginia beach, va when the
sysop was in the military... then he got out and moved to texas...
dallas/ft worth area, iirc... the domain is still valid... until Sept 2013
and it was last updated Sept 2012... i also show an IP number for the site
but i'm unable to connect at this point in time...

i did find a pair of messages from 2011 that say something about him moving
to north carolina from texas... i don't know what the status is... i know
that i've not gotten any application for a node number since i'm the
coordinator for the NC net...

i don't know what "fighting to keep the bbs going" there may have
been, either... i've seen some of shannon's traffic elsewhere on the 'net
in the last months (maybe 12) but other than that, i can't offer much
more...
