Perhaps.  As I read the specs, SPF calls the MAIL FROM the return path.
Also a google for "Return Path not verifiable" often comes up in
discussions of SPF issues.

Exactly.

The third solution is to add a SPF record to
50-194-33-5-static.hfc.comcastbusiness.net which is the ISPs alias for
os2bbs.org saying that it's OK send from os2bbs.dir.  Something like

   v=spf1 mx a:os2bbs.org ~all

should work, but I will defer to folks that set this stuff up regularly.
A bit of experimenting at

might be helpful.
