Hi Pat:
I just wanted to let you know that I spent awhile last night working on a
block for you. I will take it to work with me today and get it into the
mail. I have used a floral cream for one side of a log cabin and three
different purples for the other side of the log cabin. I have just recently
started buying the purples (wouldn't have had them in the stash 5 months
ago), so your block is the first purple one I have made except out of some
scraps that came my way awhile back.
We bought the 1/4 round last night for the kitchen and will put that up this
weekend. We also bought a few more small things for it to help with
finishing it up. We intend to go to Loveland on Saturday and look at the
factory outlet stores there for a toaster and a coffee pot for the kitchen.
This will be a really busy weekend, but by the time it is done, my kitchen
should be complete. At least this step. I still want to change out the
paneling that we have in there. It doesn't look as good as I would like with
the old paneling, so I want to do that before too long. I priced the
paneling last night and they want about $12.00 a sheet, and it will take 4
sheets to replace what we have. But DH doesn't even want to hear about it
currently. I thing he just wants to finish up the other things first, then
take a break from it for awhile. So maybe by the end of summer I'll have the
paneling changed out.
When I get your block in the mail today, then I will only have one more
block to do - for Maureen Hoffman. I'll get that done this weekend. Then
I'll get the cards printed too for the FFQBE for this month. I am behind and
will have those out before the weekend I PROMISE.
