On Friday, 96/06/14, Murray Lesser wrote to David Noon about "PL/I
Parse Stmt" as follows:

Hi Murray,

Due to some dreadful Fido delay here I received both of those messages
in the same packet on 17 June, along with 42(!!) other message in this
echo.

It seems my memory isn't quite as bad as I thought. Perhaps senility
is still a few weeks off for me yet. ... :-)

ML> the macro. According to the signature, Dave Jones works for Velocity

I have communicated with Dave Jones on the Internet, in the
comp.lang.pl1 newsgroup.

ML>         parse value (String) with (Fname, . , Fmode) upper;

... and being PL/I it doesn't force you to put the keywords, except
the first, in any order, so the syntax is a little more flexible than
REXX.

Well, give it a run and tell us how well it works. ... :-)

BTW, how's the PM programming coming along with Visual PL/I?

Regards

Dave
