| subject: | Lippman`s C++ Primer |
All: I am having trouble getting the sample files for Stanley Lippmans C++ Primer (2nd edition) and hope someone can help me out. The file is at ftp.std.com in the AW/Primer directory. The file name was cpio.code.Z. After we got the file we used GNUZIP to uncompress the file, this removed the .Z , then we used GNUCPIO to un-archive it using: cpio -ivcd < cpio.code Every file in it gets truncated, the error message says deleted "x" bytes of junk. Every sample file is missing the last couple of lines. Has anyone else used this book and sample files? If so, can you tell me where we went wrong ? Thanks in advance, Joe --- timEd/2 1.00* Origin: After Hours BBS (717)865-2636 USR DS 16.8 (1:270/315) SEEN-BY: 50/99 270/101 620/243 625/100 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 SEEN-BY: 711/955 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 270/315 106/2000 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 934 |
