DD> Please quote the Hayes definition of autobauding.

Or tell you to go and fuck yourself. Even a completely brain dead
NZer should be able to work out how the AT invented by Hayes works.

DD> Please quote the relative portion of the Courier manual that
DD> states the Courier's strict adherance to ALL Hayes quirks.

Pity that having having the ATZ command behave like ALL the other
AT commands do on the port speed after it is concerned aint anything
remotely like a quirk, even to a completely brain dead NZer.

Please quote where USR even bother to MENTION that THEIR implementation of
the ATZ command is different to EVERYONE elses. FOR NO GOOD REASON. Fucked.

PE> If you just want to say the USR doesn't autobaud properly/at
PE> all, then that is fine, fucked by design, no problems.

DD> The USR Courier "auto bauds" as well as any other modem -

Nope, not with an ATZ command it doesnt. Its fucked.

DD> HOWEVER when you reset the modem to the stored NVRAM settings
DD> (viewable with ATI5) it will aknowledge your request and reset ALL
DD> settings to those stored in NVRAM. This INCLUDES the port speed.

And thats completely and utterly fucked because no other manufacturer
does it like that, there is no good reason for doing that, and they dont
even bother to mention that they do it differently to everyone else.

DD> To view the current portspeed, use ATI4

No thanks, just do the ATZ command like everyone else does is a lot less fucked
