 Before Li-ion batteries became standard on most laptops one could get
those as a increased run time option. 
There is a real solution comming on line at some point in the Future
though. And that is the Fuel Cell battery.
For the outdoor types there are special Solar Cell arrays also avaiable.
But when the sun goes down you need to wind up yuor work. :-) :-)
