After many years of breeding and reading about cockatiels, I have
personally seen just about every possible color of cockatiel either live
or in picture and have never seen anything that could even mistakenly
be taken for green.. but that is not to say, it could not
happen...(covering all bases here).  I suspect the guy is either pulling
your leg or in fact has a bird he possibly used some type of coloring
on, the rat.......
