I do not necessarily agree, Mike. In MY experience, it seems it is
easier to get a job if you have an appearance that is agreeable to those
doing the hiring. Employers chose work candidates that are familiar to
them and do not upset their "comfort-zones" rather than specifically on
competence. This is unfortunate because many are denied a livelihood or
made to struggle harder to get one despite their abilities/acumen
because employers are in a position to indulge biases. When a
work-seeker's money runs out and he cannot pay his debts because no one
is hiring and temp agencies are dragging their heels, what alternatives
are left to carry on? SOME street-people share the state due to these
conditions. To lift yourself out is a long tedious business because
societal "due process" is more concerned with bureaucratic needs than
