Try starting with
loadfix programname
It may be it will be loaded it into the upper memory and then fails when  
it does try to get more memory there to unpack. But I cannot remember an  
exe-packing utility that does display exactly this text.
If this does not help have a look at the output of 'dir progname.*'. What  
files are displayes and what is there size? Even have a look at this one  
the machine it works on if there is a difference then you propably have a  
virus.- For other ppl with virus-knowlege here, I think of one of those  
stupid com-infectors not looking at the filesize before infecting.
