subject: You`ve Changed!

Ben Bradley, peeking back into the echo after a long absence, nearly
fell out of his chair when he read this by Harriet Levy, quoted by Tim
Dill and others:

HL> Small understatement. These days I feel like I'm in the middle of
 HL> living a miracle.
              ^^^^^^^

   Harriet! You've Changed!

Quoting a conversation between Pat Winstanley and Harriet Levy:

 HL> Good Morning, Pat!

PW> Reading messages from you over the past week or two it's clear
 PW> something has changed. What?

HL> Many, many things. I'm not sure how long it's been since you've been

Probably somewhere around that time we had a couple of phone
conversations. The following paragraph brings me up to date:

HL> massage therapist, left my husband of 14 years, got my own apartment,

This is where my new high-speed modem lost it's cookies talking to my
computer, and dropped some characters...and just as it was getting
interesting, too. ;-) [for those interested in the gory technical
details, a cable with hardware-handshake lines fixed it]
Regardless, I got the jist of how your day-to-day life has changed.
My day-to-day life has also changed - last summer I got a high-paying
engineering contract position with a large and respectable company.
That in itself is quite a change - quite a few changes, actually -
from previous career positions, as well as periods of under- and
unemployment.
Back to my original quote, when I knew you here a couple of years
ago, you weren't using the 'M' word - and now it appears you do.
This kind of change isn't like changing jobs/careers or getting
divorced (and I don't mean to belittle these changes), but it's more
a 'paradigm shift' - an internal change. And staying in the program
