DS->Spammers don't use Fido (yes, I know..), and have probably never even 
heard
  ->it.  The main reason that you can get spam from posting in echoes is 
becaus
  ->/some/ echoes are gated to Usenet, which is where they search for 
addresses
Why wouldn't they search Fido mail packets? I post only in about 10
conferences... none of which I know go out into UseNet. A spammer could
pick up as many names/address from Fido as they could from the
Newsgroups and the results would be the same.
