I think that there is a least one person out there, hopefully
still active in this echo, that knows Mike Garner...
For those that don't, Mike's one of the best sailors in
these waters and then some.
Anyhow, my Thursday night skipper stuck his foot in it, literally!
It was not sailing related, but he decided to break his leg.
If you do know him, please drop a line here and tell him that he's
not a kid anymore. ;)
Also, FWIW, he does have _Dandelion_ up for sale. No, he sure
hasn't given up on sailing, as he's looking for a bigger boat
for cruising that will be an A class boat!
If anyone's interested in a great pocket cruiser and a proven
race winner, the asking price for the Bahama 25 is about $14K.
It's a "must-have" if you race in very windy conditions and
choppy water. I've yet to see a boat that can go through those
conditions with the ease of _Dandy!_
I'd buy it myself, but I'm looking for a live-aboard, which is about
the only part of the bill that _Dandelion_ unfortunately can't
fulfill for me. She's got great lines and a lot of extras to
get you off and sailing almost anywhere. All controls are
easily accessible from the cockpit.
Not sure if this really explains how easy she is to sail, but
Mike has single handed it, flying a spinnaker. (It may be showing
just how crazy he really is!)
