Hello Alan,
LL>> No new moderator was elected. Therefore, there was no need
LL>> to "pass the moderatorship" to anyone.
AI> According to the rules of the election there was a new moderator elected.
How many votes did he receive? None. How do I know this?
No votes were cast by anybody. That is according to the
election coordinator, and yourself. And I do not believe
either of those two fine gentlemen are lying.
AI> No objection to the election was ever raised, before or after the
election.
Everybody's vote was counted, so why should anybody object?
I mean, zero ballots cast equals zero ballots counted.
LL>> The participants chose to have an election. The candidate
LL>> failed to receive a single vote. Therefore, there was no "winner".
LL>> The participants could have chosen to have a vote by acclamation,
LL>> but did not. The vote was cast by ballot. And none were cast.
LL>> Do note the difference.
AI> I do note the difference. Not votes were cast because it was unnecessary.
For a candidate to win an election, at least one ballot
must be cast in his/her favor. If nobody casts a ballot
in an election, there can be no "winner".
LL>> I am sure the participants will get another chance in 2017.
LL>> In the meantime, Bj”rn Felten remains the last elected moderator
LL>> of the FN_SYSOP echo.
AI> Indeed, Bjorn was the last moderator.
Bj”rn Felten was elected moderator.
As far as I know, he has not resigned.
But hey. Don't sweat it. I am sure
that Bj”rn has simply moved on to other
things. Such as flying his gyrocopter
on bright and sunny days, when those
rare days appear. ;)
