No problem, doing my duty to gamers everywhere.
But now, I can see your problem PERFECTLY. Quite simply put, your computer
is too fast for the game's joystick routine (Keen WAS made in the early
'90s). The solution is simple: get a joystick controller card for your
machine. It'll synchronize your joystick with the game and make for a much
more pleasant experience. They shoudn't cost very much at all ($14.95 US, I
understand). Just make sure your card is very flexible, i.e. it will handle
future CPUs and games.
