Hello, Roy. Back on 8/28 we were talking about - - RJT> Then I finally hooked up with my brother, who'd upgraded his system. RJT> I got his old MB, a Celeron 366. Now all I need is a 256M ram stick RJT> and an AGP card to bring that up. And figure out what HD of what I RJT> have here is going in there. And what monitor I'm going to use with RJT> it. And where the heck I'm gonna *PUT* it in this mess... :-) Do you have manual for that board yet? Best be careful, since a lot of boards which support Intel chips of that vintage won't recognize more than 128MB on a stick. Same with AGP video cards - - no use to get a 4X AGP vidcard and try to put it in a board which will only support 1x or 2x. RJT> But first I've gotta get this scanner working, which he found for me RJT> for only $10. I'm going to use this AHA-1540 card that I found in a RJT> pizza box and which Wayne was kind enough to find jumper settings RJT> on a while back. Hee. Since your travelling entourage would only allow you to take back a "pizza box" full of junque, its a good thing I had a big one on hand. Was nice of Nancy to relent and let you hide that 400W power supply under the seat. I figured if I brought it and waved it at you, you'd want it, and I guess the look on your face caused her to have mercy. [:-D. - - - JimH. ... "Bother!" said Pooh, as he realized his entire 'puter system is obsolete. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.32* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
