Is it TRUE that James Collins REALLY talked about Good Amiga BBSs to Paul Fuller
on 27 Nov 96 08:20:42?

Depends what you define "success" as being, mate. Eg, back in
1986, I started my BBS on a TI-99/4A and was the first BBS in Australia to
have a user plays user BBS game. I had one line, allowed normall callers
and new users 45 mins and regulars 60 mins and STILL averaged about 35
calls a day (the game hung the modme up when you either quit out of it or
died - as I wanted it to do). I also had my focus set on talk areas as
well.

Later, I decided to go AMiga and to accumulate points. I ended up with 25
for a short period though not all called regularly. I had points for years.
That was pretty successful, too.

Nowadays, I have a quiet BBS and do my own thing. If people dont like it,
they dont stay and that is fine, too.

IMHO, a successful BBS is dependant on what you decide success is.

Rgs, Greg.
