His best bet would be to get an external modem similiar to a Supra Fax Modem 
if his computers are as you say. They have no provisions for internals like a 
clone unless its a 2000 with a bridge card installed. A bridge card allows 
the Amiga 2000 to have axcess to clone hardware as well to emulate other 
systems.....
