Hello Tom. 05 Sep 03 07:36, you wrote to Jean Parrot: TW> Laptops are pretty power efficent Computers. They typicaly draw .5 to TW> .75 amps. And of that the Screen Back light draws about half of that. TW> The big prolbems in that people want them as small and as Light as TW> possable so they build them with small batteries. People Gripe about TW> the 2 to 4 hour usage with those batteries yet would scream Lowder if TW> they had a Bigger(Heaver) battery. I agree which is why I always tell people not to buy one in the first place. They don't listen. They put Windows on them, applications that requires vast amounts of memory, add additional memory, a bigger HD, cdroms, dvdroms, usb devices, printers, scanners, etc. and end up with an overpriced PC. These same people buy SUVs that never see offroading, which is just as well as they'd kill off all the wildlife that gets in their way. They are idiots plain and simple. I apologize if this offends but that is the impression. TW> It is a Loose/Loose situation for TW> the manfacturer. Should be Lose/Lose(?), but I get the point. However I disagree. The manufacture takes advantage of the situation. They make a fortune off people's vanity. If I were in their position I would likely do the same. Wouldn't you?
