Is there a way I could JF> compile this program as it is without it being a PM program? Not really. You might be able to port your DOS CGA program to an OS/2 "text-mode" program that uses the CGA graphics video modes, but this is not a good idea and would impose a lot of restrictions. In general, a PM program is one written to the PM API. JF> Hmm I would assume that I am learning the PM API then JF> correct from the OS/2 RWP book? Which is the OS/2 API part? The PM API is usually considered as encompassing the graphics-oriented API functions, such as WinXxxxx and GpiXxxxx. The base API is usually considered as encompassing the DosXxxxx functions. There is also the 16-bit text-mode API which is effectively superseded in a PM program, such as VioXxxxx, KbdXxxxx, and MouXxxxx functions. -- Mike ---* Origin: N1BEE BBS +1 401 944 8498 V.34/V.FC/V.32bis/HST16.8 (1:323/107) SEEN-BY: 50/99 270/101 620/243 625/100 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 SEEN-BY: 711/955 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 323/107 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 934 |
