Short description, eh?

M7F to Spirit

    * Can't remember - far too long ago (and my logs don't stretch that far,
anyway). I *think* things were mostly fine, assuming you were using
the same Spirit at the start of last year, when I was still using the
      NetComm Series 3 SmartModem V.32bis M7F.

M7F to M34F

    * Four calls, 100% success rate of "CONNECT 14400/REL" (at your end,
the connection should be reported as "CONNECT 14400/REL-4" if my
memory of my M7F's NVRAM settings is correct).

M34F to Spirit

    * Since about Novemer 12, 1995, have been getting consistent
"CONNECT 14400/LAP-M/V.42bis" sessions without any problems (AFAIK).
    * I have a vague memory that there were some problems earlier in the
piece, but that may have been M7F to Spirit.
    * The M34F to Spirit calls when your Spirit was fried circa Jan 20, 1996
      don't count. :-)

M34F to Courier

    * Solid connections in terms of error-correction (LAP-M) and compression
      (V.42bis) using V.34 (instead of V.FC), when I haven't been stuffing
      around with options.
    * Floating connection speed, changing as frequently as you change USR
EPROM revisions - the fastest connection was 26.4Kbps.

M34F to M34F

    * So far, zero problems - bar none, every single call has been a
      "CONNECT 28800/LAP-M/V.42bis/V.34" connection.

Cheers..
