Interesting, one thing it could be, and we just had one happen at my
company, is the simm sockets could be bad, or be making an improper
connection. We had a compaq deskpro 4000 that was flaky, finally we
decided to tear it apart and found a crack in one of the simm socket
wires leading to the motherboard.
