JP> The times are a-telling. My last bike was an 1100 with 120 ponies. I never raced it except to clean it out which with the tuned exhast, oversize jets and high lift cams was essential if you wanted to start it. I'd planned to to detune it, reduce jets, replace the tuned exhast with stock for clearance and better gas mileage. Never got the chance, 16 year old ran into me with a Suzuki Samari. I mean like 110 H.P. isn't enough for a 530 LB bike? That and having to refuel three times crossing the state of Florida was atypical and very annoying. The 550 would make the trip both ways on 2/3rds the gas and allow me a few day driving around town. Mind you if you blipped the throttle you'd think you were headed for orbit... if you could hold on. fighter jock, wish I knew what that was like. --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: The Eastern Star BBS (1:123/789) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/789 500 106/2000 633/267 |
