-> I used to live in Detroit and worked a Bob Seger show right around the
ime
-> Bob really was "makin' it". As nice a guy as
-> you could ever meet - he remembered my name months later when I ran into
-> him.
Yep - Bob is a good guy (nearly deaf, but a good guy), even his management,
Punch Andrews is pretty reasonable, all things considered. I used to do alot
of
his repair via my employer at the time (Gramophone - Birmingham) of both his
car and home audio. Bob's "weakend" hearing caused him to be one of the few
people I knew who could blow up biamped Carver 1.5's and/or the stacked JBL
4311's being run at his home :-), he also used to take out ADS tweeters in
is
car system regularily due to the same reasoning....
Another "local" that was always pleasent to deal with was jazz guitarist Earl
Klugh, he was just plain NICE. Also had good dealings with -some- of the J.
Giles band members; Danny Klein and Magic Dick were a//ok, but Peter Wolfe
as
a bit of a primadonna.....
-> On the other hand, I did a Ted Nugent show and
-> he was as ugly as his stage image - or worse. Egotistical and
-> condescending.
No argument there - a consummate asshole.
