Welll... One of my ways to spot a Packard, mostly when its too far
away, or in a film, with a not so clear image, is to watch the radiator
grill. It's gothic style is so beautiful and unique.
( It's one of the reasons it got so popular)
I watch for that general shape, at the top of the car's grill:

flat round flat = Gothic style = Packard.
With that, you spot them in many films ( All Capone's...).
And the top of the grill was like that 'till the end.
And it's still like that in Russia. I think they got the presses.

AHHhhh !! I like chating so far away !!
IB>but they wanted $16 Grand for it. I could hardly keep from laughing.
Asking more to make sure... Like unions... Or as WE do !! |-))
IB> How much are 65 Stangs in YOUR neck of the woods, in Canada?
I could not tell you. I like to go to expos, or old cars shows,
but I don't read a lot on them.
I have the complete story of Packard, and the reason they ended.
It's about it. Oh, and I have a scrap book of photos, from 1899 to
1966 ( the Lasagna).
Do you know about one of the "descendent" of Packard, the Avanti?
The body lines of that car are still used today !!
And I like chating about old cars, and Packard the most; I drove
two of them: a 1951, and a 1956 400.
Met my wife-to-be with the '56...
I still have my wife... |-)) and photos of us, around the '56...
I saw a "live" '58 Packard, in a village, years ago: 6000$
But you ! What "pulls" you to old cars ?
See.... Read you L8R...
