subject: Hello?

While pretending they were multitasking on their Win95 machine, Michael had
this to say to Bill Arlofski:
BA>> I have heard that my favorite spot to ride (Mount Snow VT) is the
BA>> BL CAPITOL! Dang... I love that place, but the flies I can do
BA>> without
MR> Been there once for about 1/2 ...Rains came and they shut down the
MR> mountain. What a bitch! we drove 2 hours in sunshine, biked for a few
MR> hours, then got dumped on!
Bummer... Where are you from? Maybe we could get our two groups together
some time this summer. I am in Plantsville, Ct. and it is about 2.5-3 hrs to
drive up there for us. WELL WORTH IT ANY DAY!
MR> I must say though....trail 13 was out of our league! About 6 "Yah
MR> Hoos" came by, told us; "Follow us down here, its real easy!....Air
MR> Down! ". Air Down?
Hey! That was us! Although I DID pull a similar stunt on some
poser (gotta love those kid's phrases) who was gingerly riding his $3,000+
cannondale all dressed in expensive clothes covered in bike company logos...
I did a fly-by over some pretty hairy rocky stuff while he carefully walked
his bike so as to not scratch it. My wingman (riding buddy) followed in close
persuit! What a great felling that was. It made my day!
At Mt. Snow, I really enjoy trail #1. It is the longest and has some AWESOME
(pronounced PHENOMENAL) technical single-track, with a high level of
difficulty, along with some open air, BIG mud puddle (pronounced SWAMP)
stuff.
Have I mentioned how much I love that place?
My poor memory can not remember where #13 was, I'll have to check my Mt. Snow
map to see if that "jars" my memory. Either way, I will have to make #13 our
first ride next time up there. (aiming for opening day in the M-U-D and
S-L-O-P) Yaahhoooo!
MR> What ever could they mean by that? We soon found out! Few minutes
MR> later there was no trace of them!
hehe. My friends were telling me stories from about 3-4 years back when they
went up to Killington (a Ski resort known as the BEAST of the East). They had
never done any riding but on vaction they tried mountain biking at the
resort. They told me of these MANIACS flying down the mountain with
FOAM-RUBBER duct-taped to them all around their arms, legs, bodies etc...
Must have been a site! heheh
MR> Mt Snow did have some real nice trails though!
You must be referring to trail #1
MR> We did enjoy the slolom runs.
I tried that solo... Makes you respect the people who actually race it, that
is for sure. I think they must be nut-so, but then again, I think my buddies
might be able to talk me into racing this year. I was too self conscious last
year seeing that I just bought a bike for the 1st time in about 15 years!
MR> Well Keep the *RUBBER* side down!
I'll do my best. See you in Vt.!
