You might wish to ML> reply in OS2PROG, in view of the rules for this conference. :-) Hi Murray, I vaguely remember seeing a preprocessor macro a few months back that purported to be a REXX-like PARSE statement for PL/I. I think it was written by one of the German PL/I boffins (Eberhard Sturm perhaps?) and was published in 'The PL/I Connection' newsletter. If you have your back issues (mine didn't make it from the States) you might care to check them for the source. They are also available in .INF format from one of IBM's Compuserve forums and perhaps from one or more of their ftp servers.
