  Well... if you are using the INTERNAL alarm (ie, the various musics that
come with Telemate in TMINST), then it won't play through the sound blaster.
It plays through the PC speaker.   If you are using an EXTERNAL alarm,
then is Telemate shelling and running the TMALARM.BAT file?  You may want to
put an "echo External alarm batch" command in there for debugging, and check
to make sure the message appears.  Try running TMALARM.BAT from the DOS 
rompt
to make sure it really is playing whatever you want it to play.
  This should go without saying, but the EXTERNAL (ie, SoundBlaster) alarm
requires you to supply your own sound/music/whatever to play.  :^)
