subject: Crafting....

Well, we started a new project yesterday. I was
really struggling physically because of the major
amount of pain that I have been in. Please pray
because my pain meds are almost gone and I don't
have any money, at this point to buy more. So either
the pain has to go away or the meds have to be paid
for. I did call my church so we'll see, but I'm
getting distracted.
Previously I had been buying acrylic paints and had
bought one stencil with tiny butterfly's and had
made my own stencils of larger butterfly's by tracing
the outlines of some static cling butterflies that
I had. It was sunny yesterday so I called a friend
and asked if her 2 oldest kids (13 and 10) wanted
to come over and start painting butterflys on my
car (which is an ugly gray color). They thought that
was great. I called a few other kids, but everyone
else was busy. They painted (and I painted a few as
well, although couldn't do much because of my back)
until they were tired of painting. The older kids
are doing the tiny butterflys and the black bodies
and antennas after the butterflys are dry. It looks
really cool, although it will be a while before it is
completed. But it's a start and it has kept me
distracted a little from the stress.
I've been writing notes today so some people will get
notes from me. I finished with the cards I am sending
to my aunt as a sample of what cards I do. She requested
them to sell in her gift shop. I'm hoping that I will
be able to make some money this way to put back into
postage stamps and rubber stamp supplies and new
rubber stamps. At this point I can use another sell in
order to buy some more postage stamps.
Eventually, when I am caught up, I'm going to be playing
with painting with the sponges and the paint on bags.
In the meantime I take lots of rests to go lie down
until my back pain eases up some.
