-=> Quoting Lynn Nash to All <=- LN> I have not seen anyone post on this and some of you may have an LN> interest. Maxine posted this on IBM's Talklink OS2BBS LN> -- VACPP CFORUM appended at 18:49:58 on 96/06/17 GMT (by MAX at LN> TOROLAB6) Subject: ICLUI Source for OS/2 LN> Ref: LN> As promised, the price for the OS/2 Source Code product (30H1667) is LN> now reduced from $695 to (in the US) $149, courtesy yours truly and LN> Dennis the Pricer. This was effective at the end of May (again, as LN> promised) and we are just checking to see if it has percolated to other LN> countries. So, if you are planning to purchase, make sure that you get LN> the new pricing! regards...Max PC>What is "the OS/2 Source Code product?" Sorry, I thought that was a known from the subject. Rereading it out of the context of VisualAge Max's note may make no sense. ICLUI (IBM C++ Language User Interface) is the Open Class library. Although I am uneasy when the comparison is made, I guess you could call it the IBM equivalent of Microsoft Foundation Class library, although supporting more platforms. This is from the original VACPP Ivory Letter (release notice). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IF YOU WANT THE ICLUI(OPEN CLASS) SOURCE CODE V3 ------------------------------------------------ 30H1667 Open Class Source Code $695 LIST Not available until Sept 95 Orders are not being taken until closer to availability * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IF YOU ARE A STUDENT -------------------- 30H1687 Academic offering 3.5"+doc $ask 30H1688 Academic offering CD+doc $ask Available only through accredited campus/educational outlets * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Max was beat up when ICUI was released with less than adequate usage documentation and no source code and then beat up again for the above prices last year.
