Sleebee sounds like a doll! Why won't she let Alice pick her up?
Is she scared of the bird? My husband was like that with Koko at
first, i told him you have to risk the nips and let him know who's
in command. It worked... in fact he goes to him more than me (that
rotten little $%^*!) When he's talking to himself he will say
"Up! Up!" and lift his foot like he's being picked up (Koko, not
my husband).
Koko also calls the dog or cat "C'mere!" then when they come
over he bites them! If he sees you petting the dog he will start
barking, or if it's the cat, he will meow until you give him
attention too.
That's interesting that you have had such good fortune with a
"used" parrot... Koko is also "used." Seems like most people want
a baby one (like they want a puppy instead of a grown dog); maybe
they think that the bird won't bond to them if it's older. Guess
we are living proof that that isn't so!
Nice blapping with you too!
Sue
