My Uncle is a Robert. Don't think it was him, not sure if her ever got into
BBSing. That's more my father and myself but I guess you never know.
Some from just perusing the echo I take it that it's customary to post a
recipe in meal master format? Guess I need to take a look at the echo
rules...at some point . I've never used it. Have a mishmash collection of
paper recipes as well as an email folder and Google Keep tags. Really need
them in one place.

Ugh. I'm on a light renal diet myself and it's not fun.
ML> getting on in years. How about you? How did you
ML> find the echo, where do you hail from, stuff like
ML> that.
I've carried the echo on my board for several years. Was active in Fidonet in
the '90s and then again for the last seven years or so, only recently started
reading this one regularly though.
I'm originally from just north of Atlanta, GA but am closer to the western
edge of the state now and commuting to Atlanta. I am a Division Manager for
Waffle House. Been with them for 30-something years.
ML> Looks good from a quick reading of it. I presume
ML> it was a big hit.
It was. I don't bake (or any other sort of cooking) at home often anymore so
when I get the chance I enjoy it.
ML> Congratulations to you and her.
Well thanks. Have several grandchildren by marriage but this will be her
first natural born. Pleased as punch most of the time. She's back home with
us so I suppose I'll be pleased until the first 2am crying... After that I
may move myself and my PC to the basement
ML> This is kind of like what I do to make frosting,
ML> but I don't ever use margarine nor in fact actually
ML> consult a recipe.
I'm not a big margarine fan myself. Used enough Oleo at work over the years
that I find it pretty gross now.
It's hit or miss as to whether or not I use recipes. I mainly like to have
them written down for my wife's awful cooking. We both laugh because whenever
she cooks the smoke alarm is the dinner bell. Thank god for the Food network.
Alton Brown saved our marriage. She's a science teacher so immediately liked
his shows and her cooking immediately improved.
