Before eCS, and quite a while back, I discovered that automatically
starting a FC/2 window session accomplished the task, and quit using
those utilities except in DOS sessions.

I agree except for this: virtually the only way I ever run OS/2
fullscreen intentionally is in a FC/2 session. FC/2 has a NUM setting in
prefs, so that each time it is started anew, it turns NUM to the correct
state. So for me, it's ALMOST always, not always. I spend SO little time
in non-FC/2 FS sessions that what little I do there doesn't require
using the numpad.
Now, since you also want something other than 80x25 in fullscreen, you
kill two birds with one config group by using FC/2 instead of a plain FS
session, plus eventually come to learn to use some of FC/2's features
instead of doing so much the hard way from an ordinary prompt and
struggling to create so many CMD files.
