Why would sysops need a special area to chat with each other? Are we elitist
snobs?

Whose definition of honour? Fidonet is about communication. In my opinion it is
dishonourable to stifel that communication.

But no chat echoes?

Why? They're just chat echoes.
AI> Don't we also have the freedom to communicate between ourselves?
Only if we're elitist snobs.
You do have netmail access do you not?
AI> No. You have taken that from us.
You have the freedom to communicate in netmail, just as Lee (and others) have
the freedom to read chat echoes.
