It seems that when a CDROM drive is relocated to another drive by using
'RESERVEDRIVELETTER=...' in the CONFIG.SYS, the 'Start Sharing' item
disappears from the pop-up menu on the CDROM icon in the drives folder.
Simply issue the command line instructions to share the CDROM drive. For
example your CDROM is drive X:.
NET SHARE CDROM=X:\
You can put this in your startup.cmd file. Be sure to put a logon line
before the net share line as follows (where USERID and PASSWORD are replaced
with your actual userid and password):
LOGON USERID /P:PASSWORD
Anyways, after running the NET SHARE command you may find that the 'Start
Sharing' and 'Stop Sharing' items reappear on the CDROM icon in your drives
folder.
Regards, Alec
