Actually...I was trying to express myself in the form of a simile,
but I know what you mean...I guess I fall somewhere in between
those two types.

I don't disagree that the tobacco companies are trying to get children
AND adults alike to start smoking, but it seems "blame-shifting" to say
that the tobacco companies are 'responsible' for teen smoking. As I said
in a previous post, ALL teens are not smoking...in fact I believe the ratio
f
smoking/non-smoking teens leans toward the non-smoking side, and
always has. Apparently, some teens have the ability to resist such
advertisments. Perhaps this is because their parents don't smoke and
have educated their children on the ramifications of smoking. The
actions of the parents are much more responsible for teen smoking than
the tobacco companies, IMNSHO.
As fars as passing out smoking products to children in other countries,
do they also force them to light up and inhale?
BTW...Joe Cool was one of Snoopy's characters in the Charles Shultz
cartoon strip "Peanuts"...but I knew you were referring to "Joe Camel"
I just wanted to point that out...heh heh...
