WH> There should be a release for both of them very shortly. The DOS one
WH> will be a bug-fix release. The Windows one will be a minor release with
 WH> a number of enhancements.
Great to hear it. TM/Win is a good program, it's just a little rough
around the edges. Nothing bad for first release software, I just wouldn't
want it to stagnate.

BS>Anything at all about an OS/2 version (please)?
WH> Looking at the schedule we have for 1996, don't think we can have a
 WH> OS/2 version.
Is there a particular reason? I believe IBM is (or already
has) coming out with a set of APIs which make porting Win apps to OS/2 much
easier. Besides which, OS/2 is better then Windows. :) Personally, I would
be willing to pay full price (ie, new registration) for a good port of
Telemate to OS/2. I think you'd find a lot of other OS/2 users would too.
Right now the only decent comm program appears to be ZOC. With only one
program for real competition, I think you could get a market. I would like
o
think OS/2 users would be more likely to register good software as well. I
realize that you have other things to consider, and only a very limited
mount
of time to work on the project, but can I at least ask you to reconsider?

 BS> RIP support?
 BS> IEMSI (auto-logon) support?
WH> Sorry, both won't be in the next release.
  I'll live. :) I'd rather have an OS/2 port anyway (another not-so-subtle
hint). Do you (or any other reader) know of where I can get the specs for
IEMSI? I am confident that if I can get the protocol definition, I can write
an IEMSI script for Telemate. But I can't seem to find any information on
he
protocol...
