FT>...at any rate your intrusion is a bit rude to say the least.
I found your comments rude as well....
FT>If it was you sending an e-mail to Sheila that she forwarded to me
FT>with your name removed how about having the courage to give her
FT>permission to forward it identifying you next time.
Courage is not a problem for me, Frank; I don't know what
you received, but the only message I wrote is the one I
sent direct to you with my name at the top - I assume I'll
be receiving your apology for calling me (by implication):
FT>I've always thought of netmail as a cowardly and underhanded way
FT>to handle problems anyway.
FT>With all of those options available do you really believe that
FT>censorship is a mature choice for a legitimate education conference?
FT>Unless blatently off-topic I don't.
Political "commentary" (which in your case translates as
insult) IS off-topic; you've been personally advised of
this, and it is clearly stated in the guidelines - Under
the circumstances, and in accordance with your own words,
yes, I think it's a mature choice in this case...
FT>I don't how the E-List ever got worded to say this is an echo for
FT>educators only. That was discussed and settled years ago.
FT>It's not.
No one said it was - Political commentary is off-topic;
it doesn't matter WHAT the conference is called, or HOW
it's E-Listed... All conferences work the same way:
abide by the rules or push on....
FT>but if you'd avoid intruding in discussion that wasn't directed to
FT>you nor your help asked for by others I'd sure appreciate it.
This is an open forum, Frank; you post here, you post to
anyone reading. Anyone may reply, they do not require an
invite to do so. What posters MUST do, however, is abide
by the rules. I did so - I didn't respond to your
political rhetoric in kind, I did not flame you, I did not
insult you, I simply informed you that I found what you
wrote offensive, reminded you of the rules, and informed
you "on the board", as you put it, of my intentions if you
elected not to abide by the rules. My one mistake was in
replying to an off-topic post, and I apologized, publically,
for that act... I see no such apology from you for YOUR
violation, however..
One thing you'll never have to worry about, Frank; if I have
a problem with you, I'll tell you to your face, I won't
sneak around behind your back.... Try to remember back a
few years when I was the only one who would even LISTEN to
you, and faced some pressure for having done so! You
should know me better than to compound "our" problem by
insulting me personally; I don't like being called
cowardly and/or underhanded..... I may be many things, but
neither of those ....
