Is Slack v9 going to do anything you need done or is this just
for bragging rights? Personally I prefer version x.1 or x.2
rather than x.0 versions. ;-) 

Seems each time you match the minimum hardware requirements for
the distribution you already have you move to the next newest
distribution that requires _more_ than you have (not to mention
bloated sizes and your smaller than usual hard drives). 

The distributions released when your hardware was 'standard'
are more logical (or one or two steps after that) I would think?
