I forgot about that. It was a feature that I never used, but it makes sense
for a phone to have that for exactly what you mentioned - listen to the radio
when you need entertainment in a dead zone.

I've never cared much about phone security. I'm not trying to sound negative,
but I think there's little to nothing that can be done about scanners tapping
your calls. Or has newer smartphone technology addressed that issue?

I can't remember which technology advancement made me need to toss the
Blackberry. This was back around 2011. But aparently I can still use it on
oldschool carriers :)
