Nor, Jerry, do I. There are numerous issues that haven't been addressed,
or questions asked, as it relates to my wife. The length of time it took
the court to finally decide when to turn her son over to the state did not
help her at all. She worked very hard over the years in learning more about
ADD/ADHD not to mention living with ADD herself. She did a very good job,
for the most part, when it came to raising the child and deserves credit for
it. Her lack of support from her family did not help at all. When using the
point system with her son, her family, who babysat the child after school,
refused to co-operate with her on enforcemnet of the point system. It was
in fair part through here, IMO, that he learned how to manipulate people.
Due to her ADD, she had a hard time remembering her own points or penalties
assessed for/against the child. Because of it, there were many times that she
forgot to enforce them. This, IMO, is one other reason he was able to learn
how to manipulate people.
Jerry, I've had company in town for the past ten days or so and will for
about another week. I'll be getting back to you and the rest of the
onference
as soon as I can. Amongst other things, there are many things that Mark
Probert has done for this conference and darn well deserves credit.
He's shown, to me at least, his care and concern for ADD/ADHD'ers. It's
been a learning experience for me these past 2 1/2 years as it relates to
ADD/ADHD and Mark, through his many posts, is one of the parties who's made
it a little easier for me.
Take care
Stephen
