Tried those \V6 and \V7 commands mentioned in another echo .. apart from
the detailed call status Paul, guess what - 28.8Kbps connections both
times!  Shit, eh?

Tried the new undoc'd command "#T" to set xmit level to -9dBm (as
I recall, this is what Dvorak's Guide to PC Telecommunications reckons USRs
are optimised for), still got a 28.8Kbps with you, still only got 21.6Kbps
with Dave Hatch.  Back to %L11.
