My guess is that, among other possibilities (lack of time, conflicting
priorities, etc.), Robert was simply having a difficult time learning
OS/2 programming, especially in regards to HPFS (which, of course, is
important for an archive program). If someone else were to port the
file handling code for him, I think ARJ/2 will be released a lot sooner
than if Robert continues to muddle along trying to figure it out
himself.
