I believe I understand. Obsessive or dogmatic thinking can
be found among fundamentalists, social ideologues, and scientists.

I believe you are referring to humans' 'inertia' in the belief
area. And this is certainly true. Regarding the more, I
await a bit of elucidation/elaboration.
