True.

I have volunteered to moderate the echo, if the majority decides to let
me. I *do* have ADD, and have been this way since birth, although it has
been recently re-diagnosed as such. (I was one of the classic cases:
diagnosed at age 2, put on Ritalin [my present psychiatrist thinks], which
my Mom took me off of... and thought that I would "out-grow" it, only to
find out otherwise. :> I am currently in therapy, and going well.
As for IDEA and such, I can find out as I have access to the Web via America
Online. (The ADHD forum on AOL can probably help me with the technical
part of the job.)
BM> I'm real sure that others of you can come up with more that you think

BM> that now and, if Butch decides not to step down, at least we'll have

True! :> The more, the merrier, in here.... :>
BM> I'm NOT proposing myself for the job, I don't have any patience for
BM> those who jump in here to deliberately misinform and/or try and sell
BM> some noxious combination of tree bark, seaweed, toad sweat or whatever
BM> as "THE CURE" for ADD/ADHD. I don't gladly suffer fools.
I am open-minded enough to allow for alternative treatment, but not from
salesmen. I research for myself and try to find scientific proof of whether
or not something works. But then, we're all unique, even as ADDers. :>
What may not work for one person may work for someone else. I have been
accused of being rude, but I *am* patient. (I'm working on the former.)
Anyone who thinks I'm being rude is welcome to say so to my face. How am
I going to know if no one tells me?
BM> Also I already moderate 2 other non-Fidonet conferences and while I do
BM> have netmail access (routed and crash) I'm not running as a full node.
I have both netmail access & Internet access. I am responding to your
post to show what I *can* do.
BM> LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!
heheheheheheheheh...... that's one way of putting it! That raises a point:
I think that whoever *does* end up as moderator should also have a sense
of humor. There are times when laughter is just the right medicine in
here....
Blessings,
Tracy M. Wirs
