subject: Uniden Trunk Tracker

RD>r I have heard that Uniden has a new scanner called the Trunk
RD> Tracker, that will follow trunked radio systems. Has anyone
RD> heard any information about this new scanner? Who sells them?
RD> Is anyone out there currently using one? How many channels does
RD> it have? What information is needed to program it? How much do
RD> they cost?
Hello, Raymond -- You might get in touch with Grove Enterprises:
        Web www.grove.net
        Voice 800.438.8155
        Fax 704.837.2216
Grove's catalog includes Uniden BC235xlt at $299.95 plus minimum $8.00
shipping. Standard portable format with 300 channels in 10 banks at
100 ch/sec. Double conversion. Ranges MHz 29-54, 108-174, 406-512,
and 806-956 (less cellular).
RD>r I live in the Central Florida area where 800Mhz trunked radio
RD> systems is about all that is in use anymore ...
This one is reportedly "fully compatible" with Motorola Type I, II, III
and hybrid (analog) trunking systems. "Conventional" non-trunked
operation, of course.
