Hi William,
-> -> A popular universal anthropomorphic image, that the universe cares
-> -> about you.
HW> A second anthropomorphic image: the universe
-> doesn't care about you.
-> A third: the universe is indiferent
-> to you.
-> WE>The universal concern is 'no opinion'.
I'm not sure I follow. Who has 'no opinion.'? Are you saying
you have 'no opinion' as to whether the universe 'cares.'
-> -> Some among the living may be concerned about, that's about all
-> you can expect.
HW> If you subscribe to the second or third position
-> above, then you last sentence contradicts; for the "universe"
-> is defined, commonly as 'all that is.'
-> WE> Collectively the universe has
-> little no concern.
I wonder how one gets into the position of being able
to make that statement. But no, the clouds do not weep
tears {rain} when you start missing your lost dog.
All of this gets back to the question, is the universe
a friendly {to humans, beasts, plants} place? And does this question
has any meaning?
Hal.
