subject: P4.08a PROPOSAL

DS> Two problems:

DS> [ scratch that -- really only one problem, I got to the next
DS> message and see what you are doing.]

thanks...

ML>> FIRST: my apologies to anyone who may feel that i've stepped on their
 ML>> toes.

DS> (none needed -- it was asked for and you tried to comply).

and am still trying... have two split versions locked in place in the
message base here... just about ready to release them to the tosser...

[trim]

DS> [scratch the above. You did 4.08b to include the changes
 DS> to 8].

right... they wanted multiple documents to choose from so they got them...
i started to do one with only section 8 changes but decided against it...
if nothing else, 4.08a has a higher chance of succeeding than 4.08b but we
can only see what happens...

DS> Problem 2: When I try to read this in my echomail
DS> reader (BlueWave) I can only see up to the first paragraph
DS> of section 9.3. Everything else is truncated. As some might
DS> say, my problem -- but if we are going to publish the full
DS> document in the echo, I would advise doing so in pieces.

right... handling that now... hopefully two parts is all that will be
necessary to break the document into...

DS> [for the 4.08b you published, my reader got to section 9.1
DS> before it truncated. BTW, did you really do a new index?]

not really... i just edited the one that was there... since section 8 had
the greatest changes, after verifying that references to section 1 were
accurate, i looked for and modified or removed entries in the index that
had changed or did not exist... funny thing about that, too... while doing
so, i located two entries that don't even exist in p4.07 ;-)

it took longer to verify the changed sections of the index than it did to
put the document together from the proposals that bob had posted... that
and i was able to put in the two or three changes from one of his messages
in here... the reposts are coming... let me get back to them...
