Is this a *.MSG area? If so, you need to run MR.EXE on each *.MSG area you 
have. 
Maximus will use the actual message numbers, not the total amount of 
messages. You could have your first message as 1, next as 5473, next as 9777, 
then 10,000-11,000 as one continuos block, up till a message in the 14,000's. 
Since anything adding/creating new messages adds to the number instead of 
finding holes, you'll need to renumber them with MR.
