subject: TVRO IRC-Channel

Hello All!
If anyone is interested, I've set up up an IRC channel on
the server I frequent (basically because I couldn't find one
elsewhere), so if some (or all) of youze :) would like to set
up a schedule a week of so in advance (time for the notice to
get to all readers), we can meet there and have a nice 'real-
time' chat. Or if you just want to check it out, or maybe
connect to it on a semi permanent basis - you're welcome to
to that as well... If you'll register your nick with the
'nickserv'er (/msg nickserv register ) we
can also drop short memos re: sat info, etc... to each other
there as well, and recieve those memos when we log in.
I'm going to have to limit my major time there to the week-
ends until my ISP decides to give me a local # to call for
access, so if someone here is going to be on it more than I,
I don't have a problem assigning AOP or SOP levels as needed.
The name of the channel is (you guesed it) #TVRO, and you can
find it on any of the DAL.net networked IRC servers.
        (ie cyberverse.ca.us.DAL.net)
My 'nick' is usually FSJeep, but sometimes
you'll find me wearing my callsign (below).
BTW: Could someone explain the term "inclined" orbit to me,
and what (if any) special procedures are required to
aquire such a satellites' signal ?
Sincerely,
           Bruce - kb6lwn - ck1@pacbell.net
